SFP Completes Sale of Taylor Martin Recruitment Limited, Saving Over 400 Jobs
Nationwide insolvency practitioner SFP has successfully completed the sale of Taylor Martin Recruitment Limited’s business and assets – a recruitment specialist, based in the Midlands – after it went into administration in November 2021. The sale secured over 400 contract jobs.
Taylor Martin Recruitment has been providing labour recruitment in a variety of sectors since 2008. At its peak in 2014, the company had a turnover of circa £17 million, with a team of 800 temporary contract staff.
In 2018, the company began experiencing financial difficulties, which only increased with the sudden impact of COVID-19 in 2020.
David Kemp and Richard Hunt, of SFP, were appointed as Joint Administrators on 19 November 2021.
The assets of Taylor Martin Recruitment Limited were subsequently sold to Recruitment Investments Limited; a specialist in the acquisition and merger of recruitment operations. This acquisition has been added to their portfolio brand – The Recruitment Group.
The sale took place on 30 November 2021 and included the transfer of full time employees and 400 temporary staff.
David Kemp says he is delighted to have made a positive impact on so many people’s lives: “The sale completion provided continuity of the business, ensuring the 400 temporary staff and employees were not out of work.
“Seeking professional guidance can be crucial and there should not be any stigma attached to it. We advise businesses to seek guidance and help as soon as possible, to ensure continued success.”
